San Francisco-based Fifty Years, founded in 2016, was an early trailblazer in the impact VC space. The fund has backed soon-to-be impact unicorns like Upside Foods (culturing meat to eat), Solugen (engineering enzymes to produce industrial chemicals sustainably), Astranis (small satellites to cover the Earth in Internet) and many more.

Named after a 1931 Winston Churchill essay, Fifty Years has been an inspiration to and hugely influential on Norrsken's work.

SETH BANNON

Seth Bannon is a founding partner at Fifty Years. He was previously co-founder of Impact.Tech, a community of entrepreneurs combining purpose with profit, and CEO and founder of Y Combinator alumni Amicus. Seth was named twice to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for Social Entrepreneurship. 

An avid chess player, Seth can occasionally be found in parks around the world attempting to hustle chess hustlers.
