Circular Impact Meetup

Norrsken House Stockholm / 14 May / 17:00-20:00

Did you know that the world generates 400 million tonnes of plastic waste a year? Where are the bottlenecks for us to reach a more circular society?

As the global population and demand for materials grow, many essential resources are being used faster than they can naturally regenerate. Some of the most threatened resources include fossil fuels like oil and natural gas, which take millions of years to form.

Freshwater supplies are also becoming scarce in many regions due to overuse and pollution. Additionally, critical minerals such as lithium, cobalt, and rare earth elements—used in electronics and batteries—are being rapidly depleted. If current consumption patterns continue, future generations may face severe shortages, making sustainable management of resources more important than ever.

The future is circular. It has to be circular. That's why we're dedicating this meetup to circularity in general, and circular materials such as plastic, textiles and batteries in particular.
